After an extensive global search, we are incredibly proud to announce the placement of Dr Marcus Gover the new Director of the Plastics Initiative for the Minderoo Foundation. Marcus will be based in Amsterdam and report to Tony Worby, Director of Minderoo Foundation’s Planet Portfolio.
Marcus brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role, overseeing engagement across science, policy, industry and civil society communities to pursue both regulatory and market-based solutions to plastic pollution.
He will lead the Foundation’s efforts to eliminate the harmful effects of plastics on people and the planet. The initiative’s projects span the entire plastics value chain, focusing on key issues such as transparency, human health impacts, safe redesign, and effective management of existing fossil-fuel plastic.
