We are very pleased to announce the placement of James Arvanitakis as the new Director of the Forrest Research Foundation.
The Forrest Research Foundation seeks to attract the world’s most outstanding minds to Western Australia to undertake high quality research and create a world-leading collaborative centre of research and scholarship in Western Australia. The Foundation was established in 2014 following one of the largest ever philanthropic donations in Australian history, by Andrew and Nicola Forrest through the Minderoo Foundation.
James has 20-years’ experience in the higher education sector. As an educator, researcher and public commentator, James was the driving force behind several innovative programs at Western Sydney University where he worked for fifteen years including the establishment of The Academy, and the Graduate Research School. Most recently James was Executive Director of the Australian American Fulbright Commission where he oversaw the Commission and 150 plus scholars that are exchanged between Australia and the U.S.
